This pack of about 1,200 green:albino tobacco seeds provides an excellent demonstration of dominance—students will see 3:1 segregation firsthand. To make the seeds easier to grow and your segregating seedlings easier to visualize, consider germinating them on Black Agar Plates, for Small Seed (item #178442). About 10 to 14 days before you need the seedlings, lightly sprinkle 150 to 200 green:albino tobacco seeds on the agar plates. Then place the plates under a light bank with 24-hour lighting, if possible. Students will be able to clearly see green seedlings and albino seedlings against the black agar medium.
