  • Have your purchase order number and Carolina order number available.

A Customer Service Representative will give you a Return Authorization Number and any additional instructions. The number allows us to quickly credit your account or credit card once the item has been returned and processed.

Items not in Resalable Condition

Items not in resalable condition cannot be returned unless damaged or defective. Items held more than 6 months and returned in resalable condition are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Drop-Shipped Items

For drop-shipped items (such as furniture or equipment), a 25% restocking fee will apply if you return the product for any reason other than shipping damage or manufacturing defect. You are responsible for shipping the product back to the manufacturer in resalable condition and in the original packing.

Carolina™ Curriculum Policy

If you need to return an item, please notify Customer Service within 30 days for authorization.

  • Include your purchase order number and Carolina order number.
  • If any material is purchased and later returned because of customer error, a 25% restocking charge will be assessed on the credited amount, and the material returned to Carolina freight prepaid.
  • Items held more than 6 months, partially used or opened items (opened boxes, bundles, packs, cases, bags, pallets, etc.), or discontinued items CANNOT be returned for credit. In case of our error, full credit will be issued upon receipt of the incorrect item.

Carolina Science Online® Policy

For Carolina Science Online® or other online digital content purchased from Carolina, please notify Customer Service within 30 days of your order and follow these steps to request a refund:

  • Have your purchase order number and Carolina order number available along with your Carolina Science Online® username.
  • Call Customer Service at 800.334.5551 (7:30 am to 8 pm, ET, Monday–Friday).
  • Speak with one of our representatives. We will delete (or cancel) the online resource subscription and credit your account or credit card.

Carolina Distance Learning™ Policy

Carolina Distance Learning science kits are specially designed to meet individual course requirements. The kits are produced to meet specific learning objectives as prescribed by the college or university and are not returnable.
