Everything your class needs to witness sea urchins develop is available in this 1 convenient kit. You'll get Eucidaris tribuloides or Lytechinus variegatus (our choice). Plus you receive all the materials and instructions necessary for achieving viable gametes—and for following development from early cleavage through pluteus. Urchins are ripe at the time of arrival; we recommend that they be used the day of arrival or immediately the next day to avoid reabsorption of the gametes. Not sexed, but male-to-female ratio is usually about 1:1.
Note: Kit includes a prepaid coupon to request live materials later at your convenience. Contact us or return the coupon at least 2 weeks in advance of requested delivery date of live materials. Orders are shipped directly from our vendor located on the Florida coast. Orders are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays for overnight delivery.
