The skeleton's right side is hand painted and numbered to show muscle origins (red) and insertions (blue); the left side features flexible artificial ligaments at the shoulder, hip, elbow, and knee joints. Constructed of a durable, unbreakable synthetic material, the skeleton is articulated to show normal posture, has more than 600 labeled characteristics, the extremities are removable, and the 3-part detachable skull has a cut calvarium, a spring-held lower jaw, and 32 individually inserted teeth. The spine features protruding spinal nerves and vertebral arteries, as well as a dorsolateral slipped disc between the 3rd and 4th lumbar vertebrae. Mounted on a newly designed stand that includes a metal rod and a stable metal base with casters. Comes with a plastic dust cover, an identification key, and a Human Anatomy Manual.
