Students selectively culture bacteria to determine if a Gram-negative or Gram-positive bacterium is present. This high school-level kit provides an alternative that can be used instead of blood-based selective growth media designed for culturing disease-causing microorganisms. Prepares 10 plates of each medium. Note: Refrigerate agar until use; do not freeze. Bacterial cultures for testing are needed but not included.
