Bessbugs are large, docile beetles that live in small groups. They feed on microorganisms found in rotting hardwoods such as oak and elm. This habitat allows students to observe these interesting insects on a daily basis. Includes cage with lid, bessbugs, wood, spray bottle, and instructions. Note: Bess beetles may be scarce during summer months.
