Product: (in stock)

Grades 9-12. Explore the fundamental properties of acids and bases with this inquiry-based investigation. They perform the classic test for hydrogen gas using a burning splint.

Instructional material includes the definition of acid and base, a list of strong acids and bases, and lessons on writing complete chemical equations of neutralization reactions.

Materials are sufficient for 30 students working in 10 groups of 3.
